Simon's New Toy

Well Simon finally got his motorcycle!!! It took him 5 years to convince me that this purchase would be worth while. With gas prices going up like crazy he started searching the classifieds for a motorcycle. He is enjoying his new ride with the nice weather we are starting to have. How does he look?!?!

Yes he has a helmet, and wears it, but he thought it wasn't cool enough for the picture. I made sure he had a helmet before getting the motorcycle. (I mean, c'mon look at that nice shaved head!)

So the other day Kajsa had just gotten up from her nap, was looking out the window, and this is how our conversation went.

Kajsa: "The sky," (pointing outside) blue."

Me: "Ya, the sky is blue and the sky is big"

Kajsa: She pauses and is thinking for a second and says, "Motorcycle big."

Kajsa: Then another pause..."Motorcycle cool." (smiling)

So I interpreted that as she thinks her Pappa is COOOOL!!! :)

I love this girl!!!

This is my big girl growing up sooooo fast! Now she thinks that everyone's middle and last name is Lyn Osthed! It is pretty funny!

Kajsa is hard at work at Grandma and Poppy's house. She loved planting corn, fixing the hose, and feeding the animals while visiting Burley this weekend.

Kajsa decided to share her apple with Elmo and this is how he was left while Kajsa was taking her nap. However, after her nap she decided since Elmo didn't eat the apples that she would.

One day Kajsa was really fighting me on taking a bath. Usually she is excited for a bath, but this day she was absolutely refusing to take one. So I compromised and let her wear her favorite sunglasses in the bath. Anything to make her happy and to take a bath! :)

Scary, Scary, SCARY!!!

So who watched American Idol last night? Well, of course we did. I had Simon record it because I had Young Women's to go to and I wanted to see the hometown visits. (Go David A.!) So did any of you enjoy the Fantasia part of the show? I had gotten home after that part of the show, but the first thing Simon said to me when I got home was that Kajsa was so freaked out by Fantasia's performance and song. She said that she was scared. So as soon as Kajsa went to bed I was anxious to see what was so scary! Oh my goodness! What was with the red hair and her dancing? NO wonder Kajsa was scared! (I prayed that Kajsa wouldn't have nightmares from this! She woke up happy! phew!) I never was a fan of Fantasia's and her screaming singing, but her whole performance last night was crazy! Did you see Simon Cowell's expression at the end? His face summed it all up! What the heck was that?!?!?!

I tried to find a picture of Fantasia from last night and one of Simon's face, but all I could find was this video from YouTube. Enjoy! Or should I say BEWARE!!! (It is only of the last part of the performance so you don't have to endure through the whole thing.)

Brynn's Blessing Day

On Sunday was Brynn's Blessing. It was a beautiful day. Simon did a great job and we were so happy to have most of our family there to share this wonderful day. Brynn is such a wonderful baby and such a blessing in our home.

Three generations

April Fun!!!

Well, April came and went and it was a good month for us! We did some fun things toward the end of the month. We met up with Aunt Jenny, Björn, Heidi, Gunnar, and Farmor at Wheeler Farm. It was a beautiful day and the kids had fun feeding the ducks and seeing other farm animals. We even brought lunch to eat and got to enjoy the nice weather. Then the girls and I went to my good friend Sara's house to hang out. It is always fun to get together with high school friends and reminisce about the good ole' days! We also got to hang out with Laura, Dirk, and Ari! That was definitely the highlight for Kajsa to be able to play with Ari! She is STILL talking about "Ari's house". The adults played the Wii and chatted. It is always fun to hang out with friends that have the fun toys! Thanks Widdisons! Before we left we got Kajsa ready for bed and we realized that she had the same pj's as Ari! So we couldn't resist getting a "twinner" picture! SO cute!!! It was fun to hang out with family and friends! We definitely need to do it more often! Now we have been enjoying being outside trying to get the yard in order and looking pretty! Happy SPRING!!! Finally! Simon and I also celebrated our 5 year anniversary! WOW! How time flies! Thanks for 5 WONDERFUL years Simon! It actually snowed on our anniversary! Crazy weather! I hope the Spring is here to stay now!
