Lucia

We went to a traditional Swedish Lucia last weekend! Well, I guess as traditional as you can get here in America!

Lucia

Starboys and little girls

Kajsa and Björn waiting patiently to see Santa!

Apparently Kajsa wants a Barbie for Christmas! Didn't find that out until this night!

Just a random picture of Brynn wearing her new Mr. Potato Head's glasses!

What happens when Brynn has her second wind...

The other night Brynn got her second wind before bedtime and was jumping on and off the couch! Simon got some fun pictures!

She may look like she doesn't have much hair in normal pictures, but in these jumping pictures her hair is CRAZY!!! It is about time to calm that wild mane!

December Fun...so far!

It has been a fun Christmas season so far! The girls love having all the Christmas decorations out and they loved helping with the tree!

Here is Brynn being SO helpful with the ornaments. She thought they looked best if they were all on the same branch!

Kajsa thought she was cool because she could reach up higher than Brynn and would have me help her find a good spot.

We got to see Santa at our ward party. Kajsa did great and was pretty excited about the whole thing.

Brynn on the other hand was not so excited. She liked Santa better from afar. When we were waiting in line, she kept saying, "Hi, anta!" Then when it came for her turn, she cried! Santa suggested I hold her and sit on his lap! haha! Good thing Brynn didn't want me and wanted Simon instead! Phew! Got out of that one! :)

Enjoying the snow in the backyard!

Brynn wanted to play too, but realized she didn't like holding the cold snow. If only she would realize that gloves do help!

Can't be Christmas time without visiting Temple Square! It never ceases to amaze me how pretty all the lights look strung on every branch of the tree!

This was the end of our visit! Brynn really wanted to get out and walk, but it was cold and we didn't want to be there forever!

Talking on their pretend phones on the way home! Kajsa was "talking" to her friend Ari! Then Brynn started "talking" to Ari too. She kept saying, "Hi, Ari." Ari is one popular girl! :)

November Fun

November came and went so fast!!! Here are a few things we got to do!

Great Farmor Anna-Lisa came over for dinner with Farmor and Farfar! She brought the girls each a book and here she is reading to Kajsa in English! It was awesome to hear and watch!

One morning when Kajsa was eating her bagel, she said that she made a tree!

Then the tree became a sun!

We had some fun movie nights!

The day before Thanksgiving it was FREE day at the zoo! We had been wanting to go for awhile because we wanted to see the new baby elephant! We went with Scott, Megan, and Megan's mom and the day was so nice! It wasn't even as crowded as I thought it would be!

Gotta love the COUGARS!!!

One of the 3 baby tigers!

I wish my camera was better! This gorilla was just sitting there staring at everyone! It was so funny!

We got to enjoy Thanksgiving in Idaho! The girls were so excited to go to Grandma and Poppy's house and to see some of her cousins! We ate lots of yummy food, made some fun Thanksgiving and Christmas projects, and all four cousins played so well together and didn't need the adults to entertain them! It was so nice!

Playing on Poppy's new toy!

Brogan and Kajsa were policemen! Patrolling the happenings at Grandma and Poppy's house!

The kids helping Grandma put up her Christmas village!

The boys got to help Poppy put insulation up in the garage!

Brynn wanted to play on the trampoline all weekend! Can't beat seeing that genuine smile!

October Fun

Wow! I have been slacking BIG time! Here is a little of our October Fun!

Got to spend some time with Farmor Anna-Lisa who was visiting from Sweden!

After most of the leaves had fallen off one of our trees, we discovered a HUGE wasp nest on the highest branch. It was the size of Simon's soccer ball that he used to knock it down! Luckily all the wasps had left!

The tedious task of raking up leaves! But we sure had some good helpers!

Then they got to jump into the pile!

And throw the pile all over the place!

This year we had a fun Halloween! Kajsa got dressed up for about 4 parties! She loved being Snow White and Brynn was a witch!

We went to some fun parties! Aunt Jenny hosted an awesome party with such fun food and games! (Don't know why the picture turned sideways!)

The Dimond's always host a fun Halloween party! Kajsa loves playing with all those kids!

Kajsa with her cousins before they headed out to go trick-or-treating!

Weekend in Idaho

We went to Idaho for the weekend and got to enjoy the fresh country air! We enjoyed picking pumpkins from Poppy's pumpkin patch, picking apples, swinging, riding the four-wheeler, and SNOW!!! Yes, snow! We woke up to a little on the ground on Sunday morning and it continued to snow most of the day. Kajsa wanted to go out and play so bad, but we didn't have any type of snow clothes for her to wear!

Scoping out the pumpkins!

She was proud to be so strong to lift up her pumpkin!

Brynn's pumpkin

All of the pumpkins picked!

Kajsa enjoyed picking apples! Not one of my most favorite childhood chores!

So much snow! You would think it was the middle of December, not the beginning of October!

If you don't know already...

(I love the image of her hand with her index finger pointing!)

We are expecting baby #3!!!

Kajsa and Brynn are going to have another SISTER!!!

I had my ultrasound on Monday and everything looks great! Kajsa sure wanted a brother because of course she already has a sister. So we had to keep telling her that it could be another sister and that we needed to be happy either way! After the ultrasound she kept saying, "But I wanted a boy!" She is over it now and keeps telling me that the baby can wear Brynn's clothes! So around the middle of February we will have another girl gracing our presence! Poor Simon! Four girls to have to deal with! He is really looking forward to the teenage years! No, he really is excited and of course he will still be the best pappa around!

Where's Kajsa???

We got to enjoy a Sunday nap, that is, Simon, Brynn, and I. Kajsa said she wanted to color and so she got to enjoy some quiet time! Well....

You might think that she isn't feeling too well, by the color and expression on her face.

This is how the story goes...

We all woke up and started looking for Kajsa. She was in the office sitting in a chair facing the wall.

Oh there she is!

This is how we found her! Something is not right here! I guess she got tired of waiting for us to wake up from our naps!

Wow! Those are some colorful hands! Looks like coloring during quiet time was FUN!!!

Not liking all the pictures being taken! Probably wondering how mad mamma and pappa are going to be! (The rules with using the markers are that she can only use them when Brynn is not around and that we don't draw on ourselves! haha!)

Who can be mad when you see evidence that she tried to wash it off herself?!?

They are washable markers, but that sure doesn't mean in one wash especially when hands have been drawn on over and over a million times! We told her we weren't mad at her and were able to get all of it off the face and some off the hands. She won't be able to use her markers for a week and she just told us, "That isn't fair!" Oh the joys of a 3 1/2 year old!

P.S.

Here are the results of scrubbing for 10 minutes trying to get it all off! Not too bad eh?!?
