December 2010

December was filled with fun activities as usual!

Saw the elves at Gardner Village.

Got to see Santa! Kajsa wasn't too keen on sitting on his lap this year. Brynn asked for a Buzz Lightyear and Kajsa asked for a Sleeping Beauty barbie.

We invited our good friends over for dinner and to make gingerbread houses.

Brynn and Bree

Kajsa and Ari---I love this picture. They are so cute laughing!

Just a random picture of what Maya's crib looks like when I still want to sleep and I tell the girls to go entertain Maya until I get up! Thanks girls!

Cute cousin Abigail from Iowa hanging out with Maya!

Temple Square visit with all the lights! Always amazing!

It was Christmas with the Bowens this year, but we decided to have Christmas morning at our house and then go up Christmas afternoon. We got the best of both worlds. Spending time with both sides of the family. Simon's family does a big dinner on Christmas Eve.

Yummy! Most of it is traditional Swedish and/or Norwegian food. So good! Siri always does an awesome job of hosting a party.

These cute girls cuddling after eating yummy food!

Christmas in Idaho

All of my family was home for Christmas! So fun and I love when we are all together. Even though it can get pretty crazy with all of us in one house!

All the cute cousins!

We made gingerbread houses!

Tom and crew

Scott and crew

David and Sherrie's was probably the most uniform since they didn't have any kids helping them! :)

Cole and Lisa

Somehow these two rascals got a hold of my camera and had some fun! Some things never change! I thought they had matured a little, but I guess not! haha! The joke is on them! *Blackmail!!*

After we got back from Idaho, we took Kajsa and Brynn to the Discovery Museum. It was so crowded, but fun!

Kajsa loved this! She likes to pretend she is a "news girl".

We got this rocking chair from cousin Heidi and Maya just loved when we would put her in it. She would be so still and just sit there.

Locks of Love

We have been growing Kajsa's hair out for awhile now. She has such nice thick hair and I told her about Locks of Love and asked if she wanted to donate her hair. She thought that would be so cool. Well, we both had had enough of the tangles and tears every morning. We measured and it was long enough, so it was time to cut it off!

November 2010

November we still were getting settled into the new house. We sure love having cousins just 10 minutes away. We get to hang out more often!

Thanksgiving with Simon's family is always nice. Kajsa doesn't look too thrilled here because she wasn't feeling well. She took a few bites and then fell asleep on the couch even with her rowdy boy cousins pretending she was a princess that needed to be rescued.

We went to see Tangled with cousin Heidi for her birthday! The girls had so much fun. It was the first movie for Brynn at a "heater" (theater).

Enjoying the sunsets. The mountains and the lake look so pretty. We just love our view!

First snowman of the season! All we had were some celery stalks for the arms and some Junior Mints for the mouth and buttons. The girls found some small rocks for the eyes!

October 2010

October was the month we moved. We were out of our house by the 9th and stayed with Simon's parents for about 5 days until we got the keys to our house. We were so lucky to be able to have pretty much all of our stuff stored at Simon's brother's house. They are only 10 minutes away from our new house, so moving into the new house wasn't too bad.

It was also the time for many goodbyes. :( Before we moved we took cookies to some friends in our neighborhood that we were going to miss. I am sure we didn't get everybody.

Kajsa said goodbye to her awesome preschool teachers that she got to know over the past two years.

Said goodbye to our wonderful house for 4 1/2 years!

Last night with the Young Womens! This is only about a third of them. Yes, I am in there too! They were either my size or bigger! haha! Miss them and the leaders I served with.

Said goodbye to my sister's awesome office at Deseret News. This wasn't because of us moving, but because her office was moving to the KSL building around the same time.

This was the view from the editor's office. It was fun to see the progress of the City Creek area downtown. My sister was the editor's secretary and when he wasn't in his office we would go and check out the view.

Brynn had to say goodbye to her preschool teachers that she only got to know for about 2 months. She felt like such a big girl going to school once a week.

We moved in on the 14th and we had our first visitors on the 15th! Our good friends came to visit Utah from California and they stayed with us. It was kind of crazy for only being in our new home for 1 day and then try to make sure visitors were comfy. They were so nice and had other friends to visit and so I still got some unpacking done.

All the cute kids, minus Maya.

Halloween was fun as usual. We went to another awesome party put on by the Dimonds. We hit up a pumpkin patch. It was freezing and so muddy and most of the pumpkins were rotting. Next year we will try it a little earlier in the month.

Trick or treating at Aunt Lisa's work. Brynn was a witch, Kajsa was Tinkerbell, and Maya was a flower.

The girls and their cool masks made at Dimond's party.
