At the beginning of June we blessed our sweet Maya Violet. We chose the name Maya because we liked it and Violet is after my grandmother who also had it as a middle name. We had most of our family there and it was a great day! It was a very warm day. We love having Maya in our home and she is such a wonderful mild-mannered baby.
We got to have some visitors from Sweden stay with us for a few days. Emilia and Daniel Jelk came to Utah to visit and between all of the people they knew here we were lucky enough to have them stay with us for a couple days. Simon helped teach and baptize the Jelk family while on his mission. The last time Simon saw them was when we went to Sweden in December 2004. They were young kids then and have grown up so much. This was the first time Emilia and Daniel had ever been to the U.S. There were so many things we wanted them to see and experience while they were staying with us. We took them to Temple Square, Park City to shop, ate pizza, and drove around BYU. We had originally planned on having them for one week, but between all of the people that wanted to see them we only got 2 days with them. We crammed a lot in, but I hope that they enjoyed their time with us.
We decided to see what the KSL Family Fun Fair was all about at the Gateway. It was such a hot day and it was so crowded. We just walked around and looked at the sidewalk art and in passing we saw Cinderella. She was so nice to stop and take a picture with Kajsa. When we were in the car going home Kajsa said, "We were so lucky to see Cinderella and that she was in Utah today!"
