Where's Pappa?

Simon has started working at Lowe's in the mornings before going to his job at the School District Office. So when Kajsa wakes up in the morning he isn't there to get her. Most mornings it is quite a letdown when I show up in her room. This was our conversation this morning when I went to get her.

Kajsa: "Pappa??" (sadly)
Me: "No it's mamma, you know where pappa is."
Kajsa: "Pappa, sleeping? (smiling)
Me: "No, pappa is at work."
Kajsa: "Oh, pappa sleeping at work?"
Me: "Oh no, I hope pappa isn't sleeping at work."
Kajsa: "Oh pappa sleeping in bed."

Sweet Sounds of a Baby

Brynn makes the cutest little sounds as does any baby. Last night we got her laughing. Hope you can hear her over Kajsa laughing and my silly sounds! This is for you Grandma, Grandpa, Farmor, and Farfar!

Kajsa's First Haircut

Well we did it! We took Kajsa to get her first haircut! I told myself that I would wait until after her 2nd birthday to think about getting it cut and today was the day! I didn't want to mess up her first haircut so we took her to a place that cuts kids hair so that it would be a fun experience for her. She got to sit in a cute pink car and watch a princess movie! Her cute little curls are gone, maybe they will return again someday!

Getting started and not so sure what to think!

The big cut!!!

A little scared of the blow dryer!

Looking at her cute little curl that we kept!

Haircut complete!

Temple Square

Yesterday was the 1st nice day of Spring. At least in my opinion because Brynn and Kajsa could both go out and it wasn't too windy and it was the perfect temperature. So when we got up yesterday morning we decided to go to Temple Square before church. We have done this a couple of times before and it is so nice. I just love Spring when the tulips start to bloom and what better place to go and see the most beautiful flowers than on temple grounds. Lately, Kajsa has been so excited to go and see temples. We are so lucky to have so many temples close by to go and visit. About a month ago we went for a Sunday drive by the Jordan River Temple and the new Oquirrh Mountain Temple in Daybreak. On the way home she pretty much started crying because she wanted "more tempo". It was cute. We also visited the beautiful Christus statue and looked at the various pictures of Christ in the visitor's center. It is amazing to me that Kajsa can recognize any picture of Jesus no matter who the artist is. I am so excited for Spring to FINALLY be here so that we can more fully enjoy the outside creations our Heavenly Father has given us.

I love the reflection pool!

Brynn: 2 months old

Yesterday Brynn had her 2 month checkup. Everything went well! She is growing great! She is in the 45th percentile for weight and 85th percentile for height. (Maybe she will get Simon's heighth and not mine!) The doctor checked her heart again to hear the murmur and he could only faintly hear it. So that is good. He figured that it would just go away on its own and it looks like that is what it is doing. She is such a good baby! She is sleeping great at night and is so calm and happy! She smiles so easily and I love to hear her coo!

Every month when Kajsa got another month older I would take a picture of her to compare month to month. So I started doing that with Brynn as well. Here they are in comparison at two months. I checked to see what Kajsa weighed at her two month appointment and she weighed 1 oz. more that Brynn did. I guess we will see at 4 months how they compare. The doctor thinks that Brynn will probably be bigger than Kajsa is. We will have to wait and see.

The Three Stooges

I was looking at some old pictures and I came across these. They are of Kajsa and her two cousins, Björn and Anders. They were all born within 3 months of each other. Kajsa was 6 months old, Björn was about 5 months old and Anders was about 3 months old. They have their #6, #7, #8 onsies on. That is what number they are of the Östhed grandchildren. Looking at the size of them you would think that the ages were in reverse order! It is funny to see them interacting with each other. Finding these pictures today, made my day and put a smile on my face! :)
